Jeans and Gems Gala event in November :: Fighting Cancer

I am please to announce that I will be donating a painting to the Cancer Society of BC for their Jeans and Gems Gala event on November 8, 2008 at the Cascades Convention Centre in Langley.
The painting will be in the silent auction to raise money for cancer research, prevention and support.
The above image is a teaser of the painting to come.

Plein Air Easel :: Rev 2.0
I have a new redesigned Plein Air Easel prototype on the way and it should be here by August 1st. There is an additional feature to it now that I am sure many will appreciate. I will unveil it on this site when I finally get it and take photos and hopefully some video of it.
I have already lined up a very well know local artist to review it and test it for me. To get her approval would be the icing on the cake!

Candy Apple #2 :: WIP
I have started another candy apple painting. This one measures about 19×25" so it should go faster than my first one did. I’ll post regular updates when I remember to take photos. :)

PAW 20 :: Portrait
For this weekly painting I tackled the portrait. First one for me and overall it turned out not bad for 20 minutes. If you know me you will recognize this person even though the length of the face is a little short.
I kept the painting very loose, but it looks looser than it is due to the water colour paper I was using. Definitely not my favourite paper! My next portrait will be on canson, then from there I’ll move up to better paper.
I think I am still behind one painting. ;)
